Art Hour at The Alexander

Beyond the First Impression

The artwork at The Alexander wasn't gathered into a single room. More than 200 commissioned works are woven throughout the hotel, creating a collection that unfolds across guest rooms, gathering spaces, and public areas. Art Hour offers a closer look at the collection, revealing the artists, inspirations, and connections.

A Closer Look

The difference between looking and understanding is often a little context. Art Hour pairs a guided tour of the collection with cocktails inspired by the artwork itself.

The Legacy Behind the Name

More than two centuries after Alexander Ralston designed Indianapolis, the city continues to reflect his original vision. Monument Circle, the Mile Square, and the streets of downtown still follow the framework he created. Throughout The Alexander, references to that legacy appear in the logo, guest rooms, and design details, offering subtle connections to the city and the vision that shaped it.
